My Household

A personalized household widget that lets signed-in members view and manage their household information from your church website. Shows household name, address, and family members; heads of household can edit household details, edit members, add members, and add or change photos.

Supported Providers

• Ministry Platform — Household and contact data come from Ministry Platform. Church must have Ministry Platform configured in Dashboard → Settings.

Features

• View household — Household name, address (if not unlisted), and list of family members with photos, names, positions, and contact info
• Sign-in prompt — If the visitor is not signed in via User Login, the widget shows a “My Household” heading and a Login button that starts the Ministry Platform OAuth flow
• Edit household — Head of household can edit household name, address, and campus
• Edit member — Any signed-in member can edit their own or other members’ details (name, nickname, date of birth, email, phone, position, campus)
• Add member — Head of household can add a new household member (name, optional photo, contact info, position)
• Photos — Add or change a member’s photo (uploaded to Ministry Platform)

How It Works

1. Add the User Login widget so visitors can sign in with Ministry Platform.
2. Place <fs-my-household> on the same page (or another page after they’re signed in).
3. When signed in, the widget loads the current user’s household from Ministry Platform and displays it. If not signed in, it shows the login prompt.

Requirements

• Church must have Ministry Platform configured in Dashboard → Settings
• Visitors must sign in via the User Login widget (Ministry Platform OAuth) to see household data
• Add allowed origins in Dashboard → Widgets → Allowed origins
• Embed the Firesky script before using the widget

Use Case

Add to a “My Account,” “My Family,” or member portal page so congregation members can view and update their household and family member information without logging into Ministry Platform directly.
